Jinsui Song is a Chinese filmmaker and editor based in Los Angeles. She graduated from the MFA Directing program at the University of California, Los Angeles, and holds a BFA in Screenwriting from Beijing Film Academy. 
A 2023-2024 Warner Bros. Discovery Access Directors Program alumna, her Oscar-Contending short Something Blue (2024)—supported by the Panavision New Filmmaker Program—received the Grand Jury Award at the Florida Film Festival and was selected to screen in competition at the 42nd Torino Film Festival. Her other works have been featured on AMC+ and screened at prestigious festivals, including the Cairo International Film Festival and First International Film Festival (Xining, China), among others. 
Growing up in Shenzhen, a metropolis in Southeastern China, she struggled between traditional Cantonese values and modern aspirations. She endeavors to create films about women, in particular Chinese women, and the many facets of their womanhood.​​
